Translated; it means supplementary exercises. These specially designed exercises include Makiwara; Chi Ishi; Nigiri Game; Ishi Sashi; Jari Bako; Makiage Kigu; and Kongo Ken. These exercises are used to improve the muscles used in the actual karate techniques.
